Adolescent Treatment Counselor

Many of the people we serve have faced challenges such as mental health and physical health disorders, financial instability, legal issues, homelessness, and family struggles—often leaving them with limited support.

CFR is currently seeking an Adolescent Addiction Treatment Counselor with our Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Addiction Treatment Counselor provides addiction treatment services to adolescents ages 12-17 in an outpatient setting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position works to provide services to adolescents and their families after school hours.   
  • This position will conduct individual evaluations, develop recommendations for clients, and assist clients in completing necessary assessment forms and documents. 
  • This position requires the ability to create and maintain reports in a timely fashion, be detail oriented, and have excellent written and verbal skills. 

Schedule:

  • Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed 9am-5:30pm and Thurs 10am-7:30p

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or a related field.  
  • Candidates must have a current CADC certification or willingness to obtain within the first 18 months of employment.
