
Adolescent Treatment Counselor
At Community & Family Resources (CFR), our staff has the opportunity to provide support at many different levels with youth as well as adults. Many of the people we serve have also struggled with poor decision making, legal issues, homelessness, mental health disorders, health issues, financial issues, and family issues leaving them with minimal support. Our team at CFR works together to provide support and instill hope for the people we work with. We provide education regarding alternatives that are available and the hope of achieving a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- CFR is currently seeking an Adolescent Addiction Treatment Counselor with our Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Addiction Treatment Counselor
- provides chemical dependency rehabilitation services including evaluations, individual/family treatment, group treatment and support services.
- This position works to provide services to adolescents and their families after school hours.
- This position will conduct individual evaluations, develop recommendations for clients, and assist clients in completing necessary assessment forms and documents.
- This position requires the ability to create and maintain reports in a timely fashion, be detail oriented, and have excellent written and verbal skills.
Schedule:
- Mon, Tue Wed Thurs, Sun- 9am-5:30pm
- Thursday – 10am-7:30 pm Family Group – Evening
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or a related field.
- Candidates must have a current CADC certification or willingness to obtain within the first 18 months of employment.
