Licensed Mental Health Therapist

We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist in our Iowa City location. The therapist in this role would work with children as well as adults with co-occurring, substance use and gambling concerns. It is preferred that the person in this role can provide services at one of our satellite offices 1 day per week, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts clinical assessments and provides diagnosis, treatment and referrals when indicated
- Carries a treatment caseload; provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups as appropriate; starts and ends sessions on time; and maintains consumer confidentiality
- Accurately and punctually completes needed clinical documentation and insurance authorization requests
- Maintains appropriate client and pre-client case records
- Provides clients and families with referral resources for the services not provided by this agency or when this agency’s services are not appropriate
Schedule:
- Type: Full-time
- Hours: 40 hours each week, Monday-Friday during regular business hours with 1 later day preferred (10a-6p or 11a-7p).
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited university in the social or behavioral sciences is required.
- Current Iowa Licensure as a Psychologist, Independent Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist is required. Temporary licensed individuals are welcome to apply.
