Receptionist

Community and Family Resources is seeking a Receptionist to provide clerical and client services for our Ames location. The person in this role is the first smiling face our clients see. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and conducts visitors to counselors or appropriate person.
  • Directs caller to destination and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon.
  • Makes future appointments and answers inquiries.
  • Files correspondence and other records in client files, giving detailed attention to progress notes being in chronological order and other documents in correct file order.
  • Prepares/fills out Admission Placement Screening Form with necessary information, using the documentation in the client’s file.
  • Compiles documents/forms necessary for preparing group packets (folders given to clients when they first enter treatment)/client intake files.
  • Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Maintains outer office appearance, including provisions for client and staff amenities (i.e. pamphlets).
  • Reads and routes incoming mail.
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed and delegated.

Schedule:

  • Type: Full-time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
